About the Department
The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations is one of the vital departments at the University of Al-Qadisiyah, operating under the supervision of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs. The department manages and organizes scholarship affairs, develops academic and cultural ties with international universities, and aims to qualify university staff to earn advanced degrees from prestigious global institutions.
Subordinated Divisions and Units
The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations consists of the following divisions and units:
1. Division of Overseas Students and Delegations
Responsible for tracking the affairs of sponsored students from nomination through graduation, coordinating admission and registration in foreign universities, managing financial dues and periodic student reports, and issuing official university orders for overseas official tasks/delegations.
2. Division of Cultural Relations
Handles the execution of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and agreements with international academic institutions, organizes scientific and cultural conferences/seminars, and coordinates visits of academic delegations and skill exchanges.
3. Erasmus+ European Union Projects Unit
Organizes workshops and training courses in education, youth, and sports while offering academic and administrative support to program participants.
4. “Study in Iraq” Unit
Promotes the academic programs and fields available at the University of Al-Qadisiyah to international students, organizes promotional introductory events, and provides guidance to prospective international applicants.
5. Plagiarism Check Services
Monitors and documents academic plagiarism checks for research and university theses, delivers periodic reports on similarity percentages, and coordinates with academic departments to maintain scientific research quality.
Administrative Reporting
The department reports directly to the Vice President for Scientific Affairs at the University of Al-Qadisiyah.
